Tryouts
What is the difference between Team A and Team B?
Team A (Performance) is our highest-level men's team, for experienced competitive players: collegiate, university, or equivalent competitive-league background. It competes in the LLL Montréal league. Team B (Competitive) is a competitive team that plays its season in the LTVQ, mainly in Repentigny. If in doubt, attend the Team B tryout.
What should I bring to the tryout?
Indoor court shoes and a water bottle. Full logistical details are emailed to every registrant before the tryout.
What time is my tryout?
The exact time is emailed to registrants before the tryout date.
How will I hear back after my tryout?
Every participant is contacted after their tryout, regardless of the outcome.
Payment
Is the Zeffy "contribution" mandatory?
No. At the payment step, Zeffy suggests an optional contribution to fund its platform. It can be set to $0. Only the $19.99 tryout fee is required by the club.
Is my registration confirmed before payment?
No. Registration is confirmed only once the $19.99 payment is completed. You then receive a confirmation email with your receipt.
Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?
See the refund policy in the site footer. For any particular situation, write to us with your name and the tryout concerned.
Season
What does the season schedule look like?
Each team practices twice a week, starting in September. Each team’s detailed schedule is shown on its tryout page.
How much does the season cost?
Season fees are communicated to selected athletes after tryouts.
What league do you play in?
Team A plays its matches in the LLL Montréal league. Team B plays in the LTVQ, held mainly in Repentigny.
The club
Is the club an official organization?
Yes. Club de Volleyball AAA is a registered Québec non-profit affiliated with Volleyball Québec, with civil liability insurance.
